Product Description
These door retention rods will hold your car doors open at 16" and work on almost any car manufactured form 1980 thru current. This is wide enough for people to still see inside, yet closed far enough so they an walk between cars. Each rod comes powder coated with a wide range of colors to choose from. The ends of each rod is formed to lock into the cars latch system, the only way to remove them is to pull the door handle as if you were opening the door. The ends are rubberized to protect car paint. Hatch rods come in different lengths depending on your application. These door rods WILL NOT support hoods.

- Designed for the Scion tC, but will work on any other two door car with rear hatch.
The rods mount using the cars door latches. You hook the first end into the "u" shape latch on the pillar from the top, then align the other end up with the latch on the door and push it in until you hear the latch click. To remove the rod hold the door rod with one hand and pull the door handle as if you were opening the door. That will release the rod. They are side specific as well. When installing make sure the pillar side hooks from the top and the door side with the tip of the rod facing inwards. They will work on either side however the way described makes for a more finished/clean look.
